Deputy Maxime Blanchette-Joncas visited PandemicStop-AI in Montreal

PandemicStop-AI recently welcomed Maxime Blanchette-Joncas, Member of Parliament, for a visit to two consortium laboratories led by Yves Brun and Anne Marinier, at the Université de Montréal.

Mr. Blanchette-Joncas serves as Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Science and Research and as the Bloc Québécois spokesperson for innovation and science.

His visit took place in the context of the committee’s study on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), conducted in October and November 2025. As part of this study, PandemicStop-AI Scientific Director Yves Brun and Principal Investigator Dao Nguyen also testified before the committee.

In addition, the AMRQ initiative, led by Dao Nguyen and involving PandemicStop-AI’s Strategy Director Isabelle Lacroix, have recently submitted a written brief to the committee.

The committee’s report is expected to follow in the coming months.
