AMRQ network

We serve on the organizing committee of the Antimicrobial Resistance Québec (AMRQ) network, helping federate AMR efforts across the region

Our role in the AMR Québec network

PandemicStop-AI was honored to serve on the organizing committee for the Antimicrobial Resistance Québec (AMRQ) network, contributing to the design, planning and launch of the inaugural AMRQ Day held in June 2024.

We share AMRQ’s commitment to advancing innovative, interdisciplinary, and collaborative research rooted in the One Health approach, which recognizes the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health. Addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) requires joint action across clinical, agricultural, environmental, and policy domains to strengthen prevention, surveillance, and the development of new therapies.

The 2025 AMRQ Day brought together close to a hundred participants from academic institutions, public organizations, ministries, and industry to map current AMR initiatives across Québec, identify emerging needs and strengths, and foster collaboration among sectors spanning human and animal health, environmental research, innovation, and public policy. The event also served as a platform to define concrete next steps for structuring and expanding the AMRQ network and its collective impact.

A comprehensive report summarizing the discussions and key directions emerging from AMRQ Day 2025 is currently in preparation and will help guide the network’s next steps, including the organization of a second AMRQ Day. To learn more about AMRQ’s mission and partners, visit here.
